The W108 S line was the high-end model of the new generation of Mercedes from 1965 to 1972. The W108 line is recognizable by its large glass surfaces and, for its time, a large and spacious interior. In 1967, the 2.5-liter engine was enlarged to 2778 cc (2.8 liters) and renamed the M130.
A big advantage of the engines is the added oil cooler and the new cylinder cooling system.
