The 1963 Corvette Sting Ray not only featured a new design, but also newfound handling. The Sting Ray was also a slightly lighter Corvette, so acceleration improved despite the same horsepower. All 1963 cars had 327cid engines rated at 250 hp as standard, with optional versions rated at 300 hp and above.
